I am an LA based independent film maker here to share my thoughts with you. I have worked in the film and television industry in many different capacities but most frequently as a director, cinematographer and editor. I got my start working on digital content, short films and music videos and that eventually led me into commercials, television content and feature film work. Currently I am in production for my second feature film titled “Brother Sister”. I also run a production company/post house called Creative Rebellion – www.creativerebellion.com

What excites me most about film making today is the ability to create high quality content with minimal gear and maximum knowledge. Often when it comes to equipment, less is more – especially when you are on a budget. I strive to find tools that do their job exceptionally well, but often more importantly get out of the way of the creative process.

This blog is geared towards film makers and other video based content creators that are looking for a qualitative analysis of some of the most exciting production and post tools that are out there today. There are many resources that will provide you with quantifiable camera tests, software specs and other extremely important technical info, however that is not what I am looking to share with you. My goal is to share real world experience: Camera reviews from my professional shoots, NLE software reviews from real life projects and so forth.
